I have nothing interesting going on in my life. My day today -- finished up some billing, made a collections list that I need to get working on calling tomorrow, reviewed some changes we have to make on our health insurance next month, made a batch of strawberry jam while I watched CBS Sunday Morning, did a load of laundry, had a quick business meeting with Dave regarding some financial transactions we need to deal with, refilled a prescription, visited Hailey to see if we could make a handful of skinny ties for Lezlee's wedding (well, Lezlee is neither getting married, nor is she wearing the skinny ties, but you know what I mean), made a dash through Walmart because it is the ONLY store that sells fabric in central Phoenix (so sad), made some dinner (using some zuchinni and tomatoes out of Dave's garden), hiked for an hour before sunset, and then dealt with some e-mails, mostly regarding girls camp tonight. It was a productive day, but nothing exciting. It is very typical of every day of my life these last 2 months. Suzanne calls regularly and invites me to go along with her to many interesting things she has going on in her life on any given day.  Most often, I look at the pile of office work that needs attention and I have to decline.  (Once in a while, I just look the other way and go play.)
I need something new in my life.

One year in my life when everything got super routine and bogged down but not all that interesting or fun I made Shannon vow to do "friday fun day" every week for a year. It actually never happened every friday - but that was the goal, that SOMETHING fun should happen on friday - maybe the whole day if possible, but at least a couple of hours of fun. I really liked that. It made my plan out my life a little differently that year. Sometimes you just really can't do that. Some years are never going to be like that.

Also - THANK you for the help with the wedding ties. You have given me the idea that if I ever do get married again maybe I should somehow incorporate wearing a skinny tie. I liked the visual. :)

Your life sounds like mine...only better. I like the idea of Fun Friday but sadly, many Fridays I'm on an airplane. Sigh!

That sounds like a pretty successful day to me!

I LOVED fun day friday! Sometimes it was fun day thursday and sometimes it was just planning what we could do for some fun on the following friday but that did make my mundane life much more FUN!

From a fellow list maker and task person, you should feel proud of all you accomplish on your "mundane day"!

You make it sound like I am doing something fun all the time! I wish I was. This week, took the kitchen completely apart, cleaned, sprayed for bugs and reorganized it. It took the entire day.
I didn't call and invite you to come and help!
