how does your garden grow?

I think I'm going to get Dave some overalls for his birthday this year. He is such a farmer. He still drives his tractor around town and he's got a beautiful garden growing. We've been enjoying squash, swiss chard, radishes, lettuce and the peas are almost ready. We've got sunflowers growing in our garden too, for no particular reason except they are pretty. If we had small kids around, I would make one of these very cool sunflower forts . (I bet if we planted one, we would find Melanie playing in it.)

When we had a planning meeting her idea for an activity was "Let's make a fort out of cardboard boxes!"

I love her.

Wow! My lame attempt at growing stuff was overun by prairie dogs and bugs last year, have not had the heart to get out and try again.

That's so nice! You need to post pictures of Dave riding around on the tractor! You all have done such wonderful things with your home, kids and life in general!

I'm envious of how well your garden is growing compared to mine. But practice makes perfect! I'll get stuff in earlier next time. It looks fabulous!
